பொறுப்புடிஜிபிநியமனம்... குவியும் எதிர்ப்பு: உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து உயர்நீதிமன்றத்திலும் முறையீடு!

தமிழக பொறுப்பு டிஜிபியாக வெங்கட்ராமன் நியமிக்கப்பட்டதை எதிர்த்து சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் இன்று(செப்டம்பர்2) முறையீடு செய்யப்பட்ட  நிலையில், மனுத்தாக்கல்செய்ய தலைமை நீதிபதி அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.

தமிழக டிஜிபியாக இருந்த சங்கர் ஜிவால் கடந்த ஆகஸ்ட் 31ஆம் தேதி பணிஓய்வு பெற்றார். இதனையடுத்து பொறுப்பு டிஜிபியாக வெங்கட்ராமனை நியமித்து தமிழக அரசுஉத்தரவிட்டது. இது பல்வேறு அரசியல் கட்சிகள் மற்றும் அமைப்பினரின் விமர்சனத்திற்கு உள்ளாகியுள்ளது.

The courtroom of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court witnessed an unusualscene on Monday (July 28) when Justice GR Swaminathan directly criticised anadvocate, who had filed a complaint against him alleging caste bias, calling him a“comedy piece.”

Madurai activist moves court seeking protection under Witness Protection Scheme

A Madurai-based activist facing threat from quarry operators has filed a petition before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court seeking a direction to police to provide adequate protection to him and his family under the Witness Protection Scheme.

MADURAI: Prisoners deserve a dignified life and they must enjoy their rights during incarceration, said Madras high court, underscoring the need to improve prison culture and environment in Tamil Nadu.

To achieve the twin goals, a division bench laid down a set of directions, including formation of board of visitors for each jail and appointment of non-official visitors to all jails in the state.
