எந்தவித ஆயுதமும் இன்றிப் போராடிய பொதுமக்கள் மீது, துப்பாக்கிச் சூடு சம்பவம் நடந்துள்ளது. இதுபோன்ற சம்பவங்கள் இனி நடைபெறக் கூடாது என்றனர். மேலும், தேசிய மனித உரிமை ஆணையத்தின் புலனாய்வுப் பிரிவு அறிக்கை மற்றும் தமிழக முதன்மைச் செயலாளர் அறிக்கை இரண்டையும் சீலிட்ட கவரில் தாக்கல் செய்ய வேண்டும். 

தூத்துக்குடியில் எந்தவித ஆயுதமும் இன்றி போராடிய பொதுமக்கள் மீது துப்பாக்கிச்சூடு நடந்துள்ளது என உயர்நீதிமன்ற மதுரைக்கிளை கூறியுள்ளது. 

மதுரையில் விசாரணைக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்ட இளைஞர் மரணமடைந்த வழக்கின் விசாரணை சிபிசிஐடிக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டிருப்பதாக உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் அரசு சார்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

மதுரை சோலையழகுபுரத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் முத்துக்கருப்பன் மகன் பாலமுருகன். இவரை கடத்தல் வழக்கு விசாரணைக்காக அவனியாபுரம் போலீஸார் கடந்த 2019-ல் காவல் நிலையத்துக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றனர். பின்னர் பாலமுருகன் மர்மமான முறையில் இறந்தார்.

மதுரை:மதுரை அவனியாபுரம் போலீஸ் விசாரணையில் ஒருவர் மரணமடைந்தது தொடர்பாக சி.பி.ஐ., விசாரணை கோரிய மனுவை தானாக முன்வந்து விசாரித்த உயர்நீதிமன்ற மதுரைக் கிளை 4 பேரை ஆஜர்படுத்த உத்தரவிட்டது.

பின் மனுதாரர் தரப்பில் வாபஸ் பெற்றதால், தனி நீதிபதி தள்ளுபடி செய்தார்.இது தொடர்பாக உயர்நீதிமன்றக் கிளை பதிவாளருக்கு (நீதித்துறை) ஒரு கடிதம் வந்தது. அதில், 'சம்பந்தப்பட்ட போலீசாரின் மிரட்டலால் மனுதாரர் வழக்கை வாபஸ் பெற்றுள்ளார். வழக்கு விசாரணை சுதந்திரமாக நடக்க வாய்ப்பில்லை. தகுந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்,' என குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court directed the Commissioner of Police, Madurai, to secure and produce before the court four men alleged to be behind the withdrawal of a petition pertaining to the Avaniapuram custodial death case.

A Division Bench of Justices T.S. Sivagnanam and S. Ananthi directed the Commissioner of Police to secure Athi Narayanan, Kathir, Loganathan and Ramesh and produce them before the court. The High Court initiated suo motu proceedings after the petition was withdrawn.

The Madurai bench of the Madras high court has reserved orders on a petition seeking guidelines to deal with children of parents who are prisoners and children who are victim of violence. A division bench of justice S Vimala and justice T Krishnavalli had earlier directed an amicus curae to file a report on the issue and directed the report be sent to the additional director general of police, prisons and central prisons across the state for consideration.
