திருநெல்வேலி காவல் சித்ரவதைக்கு எதிரான கூட்டு இயக்கம் சார்பில் மக்கள் கண்காணிப்பு இயக்குனர் ஹென்றி டிபேன் நெல்லையில் நிருபர்களிடம் கூறியதாவது:- நெல்லை மாவட்டம் அம்பை உட்கோட்டத்திற்கு உள்பட்ட போலீஸ் நிலையங்களில் பல்வேறு வழக்குகளில் விசாரணைக்கு வருபவர்களை அம்பை உதவி போலீஸ் சூப்பிரண்டு பல்பீர் சிங் பொறுப்பேற்ற நாளில் இருந்து சித்ரவதை செய்துள்ளார். இதனை பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் வாக்குமூலம் மற்றும் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்களின் சாட்சிகள் மூலம் அறிய முடிகிறது. இதுவரை 48 நபர்களின் பற்கள் உடைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அறிய முடிகிறது.

The public are entitled to get CCTV footages of a police station as per the law, according to People’s Watch executive director Henri Tipagne. Speaking to reporters here, he said the footages should be preserved by authorities and a notification displayed in Tamil in every police station. On the suspended IPS officer Balveer Singh’s alleged actions in Ambasamudram, Mr. Henri said the Collector, SP and the Judicial Magistrate had failed in their duties and responsibilities.

கொலை முயற்சி வழக்கு ஒன்றில் கைது செய்யப்பட்டவர்களின் பற்களை அம்பாசமுத்திரம் ஏ.எஸ்.பி. கட்டிங் பிளையரை வைத்து பிடுங்கியதாக கூறப்படும் சம்பவம் பற்றிக் குறிப்பிட்ட ஹென்றி, பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் வாக்குமூலங்களை தாங்கள் பெற்றுவருவதாகவும், நடந்த விவகாரம் என்ன என்பது தெளிவாகத் தெரிவதாகவும் கூறினார்.

With one of the custodial torture victims denying that Ambasamudram Assistant Superintendent of Police Balveer Singh had subjected them to inhuman treatment, People’s Watch Executive Director Henri Tiphagne said the statement from the victim was expected as the victims were being threatened by the local police officers.

Henri Tiphagne, executive director of People's Watch - a non-profit working against human rights violations - said, "We need to ensure a criminal case is registered against him and actions initiated". Speaking on the alleged lapse on the part of the magistrate, he added, "How did the judicial magistrate remand these accused with such gross marks of torture all over their body? How do we understand the failure of the remand advocate system of the national legal services authority followed by the Tamil Nadu legal services authority?"

Recalling that this was happening after the Sathankulam custodial deaths, Henri Tiphagne, executive director, People’s Watch, sought action against police officers for hiding the truth.
