After Singh was placed under suspension, the victims and human rights activists from People’s Watch in Madurai have been demanding an FIR against him. As the second round of inquiry commenced on Monday, the Tirunelveli DCB filed a case against Singh booking him under three sections of the IPC for attacking and causing injuries to people. The victims’ side, however, wanted him to be booked under attempt to murder charges.
