HC orders CB-CID probe into history sheeter’s death

Madurai: Madras high court on Saturday sought response from four people allegedly responsible for withdrawal of a case filedby a man in connection with the custodial death of his son at Avaniyapuram police station in Madurai in 2019. A division benchof Justices T S Sivagnanam and S Ananthi said they do not agree with the submissions of petitioner Muthukaruppan’s counselthat the petition was filed by his client in his private capacity and he has every right to withdraw it.

Madurai: The Madras high court has directed the Madurai city commissioner of police to secure and produce four people who were allegedly responsible for withdrawal of a case filed by a man in connection with the custodial death of his son at Avaniyapuram police station in Madurai district.

மதுரை:மதுரை அவனியாபுரம் போலீஸ் விசாரணையில் ஒருவர் மரணமடைந்தது தொடர்பாக சி.பி.ஐ., விசாரணை கோரிய மனுவை தானாக முன்வந்து விசாரித்த உயர்நீதிமன்ற மதுரைக் கிளை 4 பேரை ஆஜர்படுத்த உத்தரவிட்டது.

பின் மனுதாரர் தரப்பில் வாபஸ் பெற்றதால், தனி நீதிபதி தள்ளுபடி செய்தார்.இது தொடர்பாக உயர்நீதிமன்றக் கிளை பதிவாளருக்கு (நீதித்துறை) ஒரு கடிதம் வந்தது. அதில், 'சம்பந்தப்பட்ட போலீசாரின் மிரட்டலால் மனுதாரர் வழக்கை வாபஸ் பெற்றுள்ளார். வழக்கு விசாரணை சுதந்திரமாக நடக்க வாய்ப்பில்லை. தகுந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்,' என குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

காவல் நிலையத்தில் இறந்தவரின் தந்தையை மிரட்டியது தொடர்பாக அ.ம.மு.க. கூட்டணி வேட்பாளர் உட்பட 4 பேர் ஆஜராக உயர்நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவு
