தூத்துக்குடி துப்பாக்கிச்சூடு வழக்கில் ஹென்றி திபேன் உள்பட 58 பேருக்கு விசாரணை ஆணையம் சம்மன் அனுப்பியுள்ளது.

தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் ஸ்டொ்லைட் ஆலையை நிரந்தரமாக மூடக்கோரி கடந்த 2018ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 22ல் போராட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. இந்தப் போராட்டத்தின் போது நடந்த வன்முறையின் காரணமாக பொது மக்களுக்கு உயிரழப்பு, காயங்கள் ஏற்பட்டன.

இதுகுறித்து தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட முதன்மை நீதிமன்றத்தில் AIYF மாவட்ட செயலாளர் வழக்கறிஞர் பெ.சந்தனசேகர் சார்பில் வெளியிட்டுள்ள செய்திக்குறிப்பு ;தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் ஆறுமுகநேரி காவல்துறையினரால் கொடுரமாக தாக்கப்பட்ட காயல்பட்டிணம் ஹபீப் முகமது  புகார் கொடுக்க கூடாது என தொடர்ந்து  மிரட்டப்பட்டு வந்தார்.

Madurai: Observing that it is the fundamental right of the people to protest in a peaceful manner, the Madurai bench of the Madras high court has directed the sub-divisional magistrate/ sub-collector of Tuticorin not to pass any final orders in the proceedings initiated under Sections 107 and 111 CrPC against anti-Sterlite protesters. It further directed the police not to issue summons to the protesters.

Human rights activists, who voiced their support for families of victims of those killed and injured during the anti-Sterlite rally in Thoothukudi on May 22 last year, have been humiliated by the district administration and Police, Henri Tiphagne, executive director of ‘People’s Watch’, a Madurai based human rights organisation, said.

convenor of anti-Sterlite coalition that has been circulated since yesterday in the social media
websites and platforms which allegedly portrays her in a compromising position with her
colleague Mr. Raja, who is also associated with the anti-Sterlite movement.
